Wanting to make sure that citizens are safe in Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton recently made an announcement that he issued a letter to Target’s CEO expressing his concern about their bathroom policy and how it could potentially encourage criminal activity.

He started out the letter by saying:

“It is possible that allowing men in women’s restrooms could lead to criminal and otherwise unwanted activity”, Paxton wrote.

Then he threw down the hammer:

“As chief lawyer and law enforcement officer for the State of Texas, I ask that you provide the full text of Target’s safety policies regarding the protection of women and children from those who would use the cover of Target’s restroom policy for nefarious purposes”

Paxton did reiterate that Target is free to open its bathrooms to whoever they want to in Texas, however he feels that the citizens will not welcome these new policies.

Can’t wait to see the response, if there ever is one. It’s great to see a person, in a leadership role, speak up about this topic.

“If we save one child from illegal or inappropriate activity, it’s worth it”, he said
